1. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) released its much-anticipated proposed changes to the hours-of-service (HOS) rules Wednesday, with 5 revisions for commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers: changes to the 30 minute break rule, Modifying the split sleeper-berth exception, off duty break, adverse driving conditions exception, and short-haul exception.  Download for explanations and implications on each revision.
