The HC Series hybrid is built for heavy-duty operation. It's constructed on the IC Bus™ world-renowned chassis with an all-steel inner cage and heavy-duty frame and axles. Its ride is made comfortable with a soft ride parabolic front suspension and air ride rear suspension. The clean-running Eaton 44 kW electric motor is located between the MaxxForce® engine and the automated 6-speed transmission, and runs on electricity produced by regenerative braking – which also leads to reduced braking and engine wear.

The HC Series hybrid provides the driver with a comfortable air seat, easily-readable 5-gauge cluster with visual and audible warning system, tilt steering, and cruise control.
